Overview of user roles and responsibilities

There are three types of Users defined in NADAbase; General Users (User), NADAbase Administrators (Administrator), and NADAbase Importers (Importer).

Responsibilities of a NADAbase Administrator

The NADAbase administrator serves as the primary contact for various tasks, including managing user logins and related security measures. They play a key role in promoting and supporting best practices for data entry and reporting, as well as facilitating communication at the user level regarding all NADAbase-related matters communicated by NADA. This includes updates, changes, and notifications such as NADAbase outages.

Administrators have access to additional tabs on their Menu: User List and Data Maintenance.

In the User List tab, administrators can view and manage all users with a NADAbase login.

The Data Maintenance tab allows administrators to manage and correct data quality errors. This includes tasks such as deleting duplicate client codes, reorganizing COMS surveys, and renaming client codes.

Responsibilities of a NADAbase Importer

Users with the role of Importer can access the Import MDS/COMS tab within NADAbase. This feature enables them to upload client information and treatment episode data. In some cases, users may have dual roles and can serve as both the NADAbase Administrator and NADAbase Importer.

NADAbase Importers for each service are tasked with various responsibilities, including data checking, validation, follow-up, and correction for the data generated from their service. All data received by NADA undergoes review to identify any obvious omissions or errors. If an error is detected, the NADAbase Importer responsible for the respective service will be contacted to investigate and provide corrected data.
